heroal sun protection textiles are perfectly tailored to the most different requirements and applications, and at the same time offer you versatile design options. Transparent fabrics, for example, provide protection against blinding sunlight, while still letting in natural daylight. Blockout fabrics create 100 % room darkening, e.g. for bedrooms. Six types of fabric meet the most different demands on design and functionality: from especially high resistance qualities to easy-clean textiles.

    The textiles for heroal sun protection systems have been designed for outside use. However, they are also perfectly suited for inside applications.

  • What does OF value mean?

    The openness factor (OF) is a percentage indicating how much light will transmit through a sun protection textile. The standard range of the openness factor is 0-14 %, whereas 0 % describes a complete blockout of light and 14 % an almost complete outward vision maintained.

    • 0 % - no outward vision
    • 4 – 5 % - good outward vision
    • 10 % - generous outward vision
    • 14 % - almost complete outward vision
